Holly Coll-Black, MA
Holly, Coll-Black, MA, is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and two years of direct clinical experience working with individuals and couples.
Holly’s approach is rooted in the belief that our earliest experiences and attachment relationships form the emotional blueprints we carry into adulthood — and that real change becomes possible when those patterns are explored with honesty and curiosity rather than judgment. Drawing on psychoanalytic and attachment-informed foundations, with particular grounding in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Holly works integratively, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness-based practices where they serve the client's goals.
Holly specializes in working with adults and couples navigating relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and questions of identity, self-esteem, and body image. The work is collaborative and relational — oriented less toward quick fixes and more toward the kind of deeper self-understanding that creates sustainable change. Clients often find that Holly’s broad experience of the world — its pressures, its turning points, its competing demands — means they feel deeply understood.
Before coming to psychotherapy, Holly built a successful career in economics and communications, working with major financial institutions on complex data and employee communications. That grounding brings analytical clarity and a seasoned perspective to the clinical space. Combined with volunteer experience providing crisis support with the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto, Holly offers something that training alone cannot provide — a practitioner who has lived, and who brings that to the room and to her clinical work.
Holly is currently accepting new clients and works under formal clinical supervision of Dr. Maura Ferguson, Psy.D. C.Psych as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
