She integrates various therapeutic techniques to tailor interventions that meet each person's unique needs, helping them achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Dr. Brown has a diverse clinical background, having completed her predoctoral residency with the Edmonton Cross-Specialty Psychology Residency Consortium, where she provided both long-term and brief-focused psychotherapies to adults and children. Her experience spans a range of settings, including specialization in trauma-informed care and health psychology with the Cross Cancer Institute of Edmonton, where she supported individuals and their families facing life-altering diagnoses.
Dr. Brown’s integrated therapeutic style combines emotion-focused perspectives to help people connect with their emotions, cognitive approaches to encourage new ways of thinking, and psychodynamic process-experiential techniques to integrate these insights into everyday life. She continually expands her skills, with ongoing learning in psychodynamic approaches and existential positive psychology, particularly for health-related concerns.
Dr. Brown also offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTI) and is currently accepting referrals for adult ADHD and psychodiagnostic assessments
Whether facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or existential challenges, Dr. Brown is dedicated to supporting her clients. Her goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions, build resilience, and discover a path forward that aligns with their true selves and the life they envision.
